Candy Corn Sunset Gradient

Candy Corn Sunset Gradient

The last time I tried a gradient manicure, I failed so miserably that this is only my second attempt in three years. I'm glad to say that this one turned out much better and I'll definitely be doing more gradient manicures in the not-so-distant future.

Tools used:

  • Cosmetic sponge

Polishes used:

  • OPI Nail Envy
  • Julep Abbie (Yellow)
  • Sally Hansen Sun Kissed
  • Julep Suse (Coral)
  • Seche Vite

I started with two coats of the Julep and topped it off with Seche Vite. Once that dried, I painted the gradient onto the sponge and rolled it over the nails. I then "bounced" the sponge up and down, left and right to blend the colors a little bit better. I discovered that less is definitely more with this technique and blotted the sponge on a paper towel when I got too much polish on it.
